PS2 game The Getaway used to prove brains contain sat navigtation like systems

Researchers believe that our brains contain navigation systems much like satellite navigation with grids, compasses and in-built maps. In a follow-up study, two researchers used the PS2 game \’The Getaway\’ to analyse how taxi drivers use their brain areas to navigate.

LBP creators: There’s definitely scope for a PSP version

Media Molecule co-founder Mark Healy has said that they have had \”discussions and talks\” about bringing LittleBigPlanet to the PSP but they have nothing concrete at the moment. \”It\’d be great to make - for the people who are really into the Create side - some kind of companion products that allow you to create things while you\’re on the train,\” he said. \”One thing that I\’d love to add is the ability to create you\’re own music, for example, that you can import into the game. That seems like an obvious one to do and it\’d be quite easy really.\”

New Action Replay for PSP coming, 100% code engine based, no powersaves

Cheaters, mark you diary for Monday October 6th as this is when Datel\’s new Action Replay for the PSP will be released. This new product is essentially a 1 GIG memory stick that comes pre-flashed with the Action Replay software. + \”Battery Enabler\” that allows the PSP to boot the ActionReplay software. It will work in true Datel fashion, with CODES and not powersaves just like with the Action Replay of the good old days. Some of the main features include the ability to download codes directly from the official CodeJunkies website via WiFi, an in-game cheat menu and the ability to turn on/off cheats in real time. According to reports, those who buy a new copy of Gears of War 2 will get a voucher to download the \”Flashback\” downloadable map pack for free. The map pack contains visually enhanced versions of original GoW multiplayer maps Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway, and Tyro Station. Also, those who attend \”Midnight Madness\” launch events on November 6th will get a code to unlock a gold-plated Hammerburst. The Map Pack and golden guns are special gifts to loyal fans and there are no plans to make them available as paid downloads through LIVE Marketplace.

MS freezes hiring at Zune and Xbox group

Robbie Bach of Microsoft has reportedly sent out at an e-mail which denotes that the Entertainment and Devices section of the company, which includes the Xbox and Zune are no longer hiring. However, MS seem in denial and say they are optimistic about their growth prospects.
