In 2001, massively multiplayer online game developer Turbine snagged Jeffrey Anderson, previously a vice president with Ultima Online creator Origin Systems, to run its operations as president and CEO. Anderson’s run at the helm of Turbine has come to an end, as the studio today introduce its new president and CEO, Jim Crowley.

Crowley does not enter the role with as much experience in the world of MMO games as his predecessor, having previously served as COO of mobile media company m-Qube and telecom outfit Network Plus, Inc.

He is joined on the Turbine staff by other recent additions including executive producer Walt Yarbrough and vice president of product development Craig Alexander. Yarbrough previously worked for EA Mythic, whiled Alexander served as general manager of Activision’s Z-Axis studio, and vice president of Westwood Studios.

A Turbine representative told If Its Games that Anderson will remain with the company, but will be moving to an as-yet undetermined role.
