The Malaysian Health Ministry wants more seniors to take up gaming as it helps keep their minds sharp and their hands active, reducing their risk of developing Alzheimer\’s Disease. Health Ministry parliamentary secretary Datuk Lee Kah Choon said \”Senior citizens should engage in mental activities. A good way is to use the PS3 or play other computer or video games as it would help to keep them alert and maintain the dexterity of their hands.\” The parlimentary secertary also said that seniors can also play Bridge and Majhong as long as they do not gamble illegally.

ari wins writes “IGN.com has up a post discussing the new EA/Flagship game Hellgate: London, and the in-game advertisements it includes to facilitate targeted marketing. Though ads in games aren’t exactly new, some Beta testers are objecting to their apparently off-putting presence. Users have also noted that accepting the game’s EULA means you submit to the collection of ‘technical and related information that identifies your computer, including without limitation your Internet Protocol address, operating system, application software and peripheral hardware’.”.

While discussing the pricing of various bundles offered by MS and Sony currently, there was an underlying focus of whether the cost of Live has any impact of the overall value of the Xbox 360. PES 2008 leaked onto Web already

We received a new stip from Vincaliere that internet release groups have leaked onto the web PAL copies of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for the PS2 and Xbox 360 today. This will come as something as a blow for Konami with the official release date scheduled for this Friday. With the huge longevity and appeal this franchise has, there can be no excuse for not purchasing a legitimate copy as Konami more than deserve it.

DosFlash V1.3 Beta released - BenQ drive reading/writing

DosFlash v1.3 has been released which supports BenQ Xbox 360 drive reading and writing. Although as you may well be aware there are no Xtreme hacked firmwares available for this drive at the moment so its only use is in getting your key and using another drive as a replacement. Some days ago it was revealed that iXtreme firmware for the BenQ drive was nearly complete but no release date is available. Read more here.

With built-in HD DVD, a larger hard drive, revamped “MCE” interface, and possibly HDTV tuners, the Xbox would be in a better position to compete against the PS3 in the race to serve as the defacto entertainment hub for couch potatoes.
