Bizarre Creations - Wii racer sounds interesting with ‘cool racing wheel’

Speaking in a recent interview Bizarre\’s Commercial Director Sarah Chudley has suggested that Bizarre has a strong interesting developing something on the Wii. Chudley commented that a Wii racer sounds interesting, \’\'especially with the cool racing wheel\’ but could not discuss plans for the future. She also stated that the Xbox 360 and PS3 are pretty even in terms of performance, once console wins in one particular area, and the other console wins in another. So therefore there is no massive gap between the two systems unlike the gap between the PS2 and Dreamcast.

She\’s commented that Nintendo platforms appeal to people as young as 9 in her family (her son) and the Wii which provides her mom who is in her 70\’s with many hours of virtual bowling fun.

Nintendo spent $40 million on ads in 6 months according to research firm

According to Nielsen Monitor-Plus, Nintendo spent a massive $40 million on print, television and outdoor media advertising in a period lasting six months since the start of the year. However, according to the firm, Nintendo spent $84 million in 2006 and $87 million a year before, but with the all important Holiday season coming up, it is likely that Nintendo will spend a lot more.

Super Mario Galaxy launches in Japan, low interest experienced?

Upon a visit to Akihabara, there were no long lines or the usual scenes which accompany big game launches in Japan. According to reports most people in queues were waiting for Xbox 360 games among other items. However, the title should still be a big seller, but perhaps not as big as one would\’ve first thought.

In the comments section of a post, a rep from Sony\’s semi-official blog ThreeSpeech stated that news on PS3 firmware v2.00 will be delivered tomorrow but the release will be within two weeks.

TimeShift and Need for Speed demo games hit US PS Store

The US Playstation store has received its weekly update with a demo of TimeShift and Need for Speed ProStreet Demo available. Each demo weighs in at 479MB and 906MB respectively. Elsewhere there was a wealth of updates to PS One classics, game videos and trailers.
