A news article recently surfaced in which God of War developer David Jaffe \’appeared\’ to take a jab at Miyamoto by stating \”I\’ve been trying to figure out why the f*** go karts shoot banana peels.\” Jaffe has posted up a mini video diary in which he states he doesn\’t think he is a better developer than Miyamoto and he just swears a lot because that\’s the environment he\’s been brought up in.

A Nintendo spokesperson has issued a response to the quote that 90 percent of DS owners play pirate games with the R4 cartridge. Nintendo stated that while the R4 and other devices cause concern, they have not reached the mass market. A company has created a NES clone system which attaches to the DS and allows you to play Japanese NES cartridges while using the DS as a controller and playing back the games on a mini TV screen. The key flaw of the product is that it doesn\’t actually use the DS hardware to run the game. So esssentially, it\’s like strapping a working NES on the back of your DS and unlike flash cards which use emulation, the hardware itself is actually running the games.

In this weeks Bungie Update it was revealed that the upcoming multiplayer map \”Purple Reign\”, which was meant to be coming in Halo 3\’s Spring DLC, is not ready yet. However they say it’s being replaced by something potentially much more exciting, the “Moonlight Sonata” map.
