Nintendo: We are seeing Wii attach rate growing all the time

Responding to reports that the Nintendo platforms have lower attach rates than their rivals from Sony and Microsoft, David Yarnton of Nintendo UK commented by saying the attach rate is increasing all the time. Yarnton was certain that things would further improve as Nintendo continue to bring out games with mass appeal.

Lost Planet removed from PSN, Sony working overtime to resolve issues

Sony\’s official Playstation blog has confirmed that the Lost Planet demo was pulled from the Playstation Network in order to resolve issues which have arised. They are working overtime to resolve the issue and a new fixed version of the demo will hit the Playstation Network as soon as possible.

Rumor: Five GTA IV tracks

A Dutch PS3 website claims to have word of five GTA IV sound tracks that will be included in the game. Some of the tracks mentioned include bump n\’ grind from R Kelly and Arm in Arm from The Boggs.

Target: PS2 drops to $99 on Feburary 24

According to an ad which is circulating, retailer Target is to start selling the PS2 for the low price of $99 on February 24th. It\’s currently unclear whether this is a permanent price drop or if it is just a temporary move.

According to a report on Variety, Take 2 has literally been bombarded with producers and studios making requests to obtain the rights to create a movie based on its popular BioShock franchise. While Take 2 hasn\’t shut the door on the idea, it isn\’t in a position to capitalize on a deal just yet.

Namco Blames Wii for Arcade Closures

milsoRgen noted a story about Namco Bandai is shuttering between 50 and 60 arcades in Japan and blaming the success of the Wii for the closures. “A lot of the types of games that people played at an arcade can now be done at home,” said company spokesman Yuji Machida.
