Legendary DLC details Tuesday

Bungie have said that they will be formally unveiling the Legendary DLC release date and other sundry details this Tuesday. Two other maps will be joining the already announced Ghost Town. As a teaser for one, Bungie have have posted some pictures of wintry vehicles and their custom paint jobs for their appearance on next week’s map.

MS ‘owe’ $1.99 billion for infringing patented computer technology

Alcatel-Lucent SA have told a court Microsoft owes them US$1.99 billion for infringing its patented computer technology. Alcatel say MS have violated four patents with products such as Windows Media Player, Vista and Xbox 360. \”The Paris-based company claims infringement of patents covering the MPEG-2 form of digital video, computer form-entry technology and the use of a stylus on handheld devices.\”

$4,000 Wii made from 20,000 Swarovski Crystals

Crystal Icing created this unique case design for a Wii that was given to the winner of a Super Smash Bros Brawl Competition. Its made from 20,000 Swarovski Crystals and has a retail value of $4,000.

Metal Gear Online Beta starting April 14th?

The Japanese section of the official site for Metal Gear Online has revealed that the Metal Gear Online Beta will begin on April 14th. It is assumed that the beta will start at the same time world wide. You can get access to the beta by pre-ordering Metal Gear Solid 4 (released on June 12th) at major retailers.

GT5 Prologue is the PS3’s first pre release Platinum title

According to SCEE NZ’s Marketing Manager Dave Hine and Paul Gunn (PR guy), pre-orders for Gran Turimo 5 Prologue in SCEE regions are already at one million. This makes the game the PS3’s first pre release Platinum title.
