AP - Nintendo’s Wii has dominated video-game hardware sales since its debut in November 2006, and it shows no sign of slowing down. In March, U.S. stores sold more Wii consoles than Xbox 360s and PlayStation 3s combined.
We\’re not sure exactly why this huge display was erected, but it seems to have been placed in the middle of a busy retail front - now this puts a whole new spin on what we preceive to be gaming on the big screen!

A few days ago Danny from the M3 team e-mailed in to let us know that they will soon release a new version of their flash card series which is known as the \’i Touch DS\’. The card boasts a lower price than you\’d expect, 100 percent game compatibility and fast and frequent updates. In related news, a new M3 real firmware is due at the end of the month and the creator of the popular Moonshell application is helping them work on it.

Konami have announced changes to the dates of the Metal Gear Online Beta for Europe and the US. For the US: 1) Start date: Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances. 2) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 05/11/2008 at 24:00(PDT) rather than 05/05/2008 at 24:00(PDT). For Europe: 1) Suspend beta test: As of 25/04/2008 08:00(CEST) 2) Planned for 04/25/2008 24:00(PDT). While the start is planned for the weekend, it may change due to unforseen circumstances. 3) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 11/05/2008 at 24:00(CEST) rather than 06/05/2008 at 24:00(CEST). According to reports, sources close to Sony are working on a digital video download service and will announce it at E3 later this July. Sources say Sony has been \”recently been in talks with major movie studios, to allow downloadable movies and content through its PlayStation Network in addition to music.\” (Thanks G-Wiki!)
The $9.99 Cod 4 Variety Map Pack will be hitting the European PSN at the same time it hits North America on April 24th. The European release had previously been scheduled for May 1st.
The price of the PS3 has risen in Hong Kong and Singapore. In Hong Kong the official MSRP has gone up $25 USD since last week. In Singapore the cost price has gone up over $30 USD.
