According to a poster on the neogaf forums, the latest issue of Nintendo Power has revealed that the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed is not being developed by the Sonic team who are doing the Ps3/360 version. DIMPs, the people behind Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure, will be creating the Wii version and it will have \”different levels and gameplay elements.

Bruce Everiss, who calls himself a veteran games industry marketer, has said Nintendo may have no option but to make the Wii cheaper at retail. He believes this may happen in Q3 2008 or maybe a little bit later. Reasons for the drop include that \”it has been at the same price for a long time now, during which it has become a lot cheaper to make\” and that GTA IV \”is going to transform the balance in the market strongly in favour of the HD consoles.\”

15 ‘Guitar Hero: On Tour’ tracks revealed

Actvision has released a list of 15 tracks that will be included in Guitar Hero: On Tour. The tracks include \’All The Small Things\’ by Blink 182, \’Breed by Nirvana\’ and \’This Love\’ by Maroon 5. Actvision previously said that the game would include 25 songs, it is unclear if they will be hidden in the game or be made available as DLC.

Drivers Ed Portable announced for DS

DreamCatcher Games and JoWooD Productions today announced the development of Drivers Ed Portable for the DS. The game will allow teens worldwide to prepare for the written portion of their driver’s licence examination, customized to the country, state or province in which they live. The game will feature sample tests for the written part of the driver’s license examination for all 50 US states, 13 Canadian provinces and territories, as well as Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Drivers Ed Portable will be available for Fall 2008.

SCEA to drop PS Store prices for Canda

SCEA announced today that they will be adjusting the prices of content on the PS Store for Canada tomorrow. Sony say \”the adjustment comes as a result of the strengthening Canadian currency and SCEA\’s ability to localize pricing within the PLAYSTATION Store.\” So its probably best for Canadians to hold on buying new content until the changes have been made.

Below is a trailer for PS3 exclusive title WarDevil, a fantasy action-adventure video game in development by Digi-Guys. The game was originally planned for the 360 also, but the devs decided to focus on one platform. The game is expected to be released sometime this year. Assume the role of the mysterious WarDevil, navigating what appears to be a post-apocalyptic world, ruled by the Chun Federation.

LittleBigPlanet closed beta this summer

Kyle Schubel, senior producer at SCEA, has revealed that there will be a LittleBigPlanet closed beta this summer. Schlubed confirmed that the game will \”1 to 4 players on 1 to 4 PS3s\” which means \”up to 4 player online and offline.\” Schubel also said the game should see a full release in September or October.

Gamers believe Rockstar is covering up PS3 freezing issue

A thread on the US Playstation boards about GTA IV freezing issues has now reached over 1,600 comments from angry gamers requesting a patch ASAP. The forum memebrs have been angered further as videos of the game freezing uploaded to youtube have been removed due to a \”copyright claim by Take 2 Games.\” Many now believe Rock Star are now trying to cover up the issue. We did however manage to find one video of the game freezing as you can see below. (Thanks Anojan)
