Iwata says they will review lack of internal memory situation

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said in last week\’s financial briefing for its FY08 results that they know they have to review the best possible solution for the lack of internal memory in the Wii. \”Statistically speaking, it is true that there are a small number of customers who feel that the flash memory is too small, while many others find that they have plenty of memory\” adding, \”However, because this small number of people are none other than the most avid players, we know we have to review the best possible solution to eliminate their inconvenience.\”

7 PS1 classics that have been rated but not yet released

The ESRB has rated several PS1 titles that have not yet been released for the PS3/PSP. The lists includes the following: Wipeout XL (E), Jet Moto 3 (E), Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo (E), Buster Bros. Collection (E), Street Fighter Alpha, Rayman (E) and Castlevania Chronicles (T).

PS3 the lead platform for Ghostbusters, porting to Xbox 360 is easier

Terminal Reality, the studio developing the next-gen \”Ghostbusters\” game, has said that the Playstation 3 will be the lead platform for the game as it found that \”writing for the PS3 first and then porting to the 360 and PC is a much simpler and more efficient procedure.\” They say that the ease in porting means they avoid one platform perform better than the other.

Resistance 2 to be shown at Sony PlayStation day

An Insomniac Games employee has apparently confirmed that that a Resistance 2 demo will be on show at the Sony PlayStation day on May 6. Insomniac revealed back in February that they were currently developing Resistance 2 and that it will release this fall exclusively for PlayStation 3.

Xbox 360 Finally Getting Blu-ray

Starturtle writes “Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer had admitted that Microsoft had been working on support for Blu-ray under Windows during this year’s Mix08 conference. Rumors began to swirl and many began to expect Microsoft to announce a Blu-ray peripheral for the Xbox 360. However, Microsoft came out and denied all rumors, stating that they were not exploring any kind of Blu-ray add-on or in talks with Sony about integrating Blu-ray into the Xbox experience. After months of rumors and denials, the Xbox 360 with a Blu-ray disc drive is due to be manufactured soon and shipped in Q3 of 2008. Pegatron Technology, an OEM subsidiary of Asustek Computer, is reported to have received the winning order from Microsoft for a Blu-ray equipped Xbox 360.”.
