Nintendo might not announce list of launch games for Wii Ware

The launch of Wii Ware is only one week away and Nintendo is yet to announce the list of launch games for the service. A Nintendo Representative has hinted that they will not be making such an announcement and that they will just do a press release in the morning of Wii Wares launch like they do with Virtual Console releases.

Parents outraged after Wii Fit labels healthy kids as over weight

Some parents have become concerned the effect Wii Fit may have on children after they have found it may mistakenly label them as overweight. One ten-year-old was devastated to be labeled overweight in the game and parents had a hard time convincing her that Wii Fit was wrong. In fact an NHS Direct BMI calculator disagrees with the game and finds that she is an ideal weight for her height and no where near the limit for being considered overweight.

Party Crashers announced for Wii

U.S. game publisher Detn8 Games Ltd. and Italian game developer Twelve Interactive have announced a development deal to create Party Crashers for Wii. Set for release in April, 2009, Party Crashers is composed of 25 party games in one product, including a host of action games along with puzzle games, brain teasers, and a music-based game.

Nintedo to host Wii Fit launch party, hopes to raise $25k for Heart Association

Nintendo will be hosting a Wii Fit Central Park launch event on May 1 and will be raising funds for the American Heart Association. For every attendee who \”gets on board\” for a Wii Fit demo, Nintendo will make a donation of $5 (up to $25,000 total) to the American Heart Association. Celebrity trainer Ashley Borden will be providing personal Wii Fit training sessions at the event.

SCEE announced today that PlayTV will launch in Europe this September for 99 Euros which converts to about GBP 80/USD 154. PlayTv will allow users to watch, pause and record live TV from a huge range of free channels, PlayTV lets you record a programme whilst watching another, record an entire series at the touch of a button or watch programmes on the go via Remote Play on PSP.
