PC World have been ordered not to show a \”misleading\” 60GB PS3 TV advert again which said that it \”plays your PS2 games as well.\” This was deemed to be misleading by the Advertising Standards Authority who noted that when the advert was broadcast it could play around 80% of PS2 games.
A Japanese newspaper is reporting that Sony plans to ship between 80,000 and 100,000 units of the limited edition MGS4 PS3 bundle. It is unclear how many units Sony are planning to ship in other regions.
SCEE boss David Reeves has hinted that Sony may at some point consider releasing official external PS3 HDD\’s. \”We launched with 60GB and to reduce the price we went to 40GB. We\’re not sure we want to stay with that configuration of hard drive, and I think what you\’re going to see in the future is maybe consumers can choose. The PlayStation will stay the same, but consumers can choose whichever size of hard drive they want. They can now, or course, because it\’s not a proprietary hard drive.\” said Reeves.
RockStar have released a 18 MB GTA IV PS3 patch \”that prevents Gamespy’s servers from being overloaded and therefore reduces the impact on those servers that were causing the game to stutter and lock up.\”
