SEGA reveals another DS RPG exclusive - Blazer Drive

SEGA is to deliver another exclusive RPG to the DS and its called Blazer Drive. Little information is known about the title, but it is due to hit Japan in Winter 2008 with no plans for a release elsewhere announced just yet.

R4 team plan to brick DS’s using clones

Reports indicate that the official makers of the R4 Flash Card for the DS are planning to brick DS\’s which are using a clone of their official flash card. They will not indicate when this may happen and obviously this move has created a lot of controversy as the device can be used to play pirate games and the feeling is they have no right to get so angry and brick systems..

Hudson rules itself out of full PS3 games dev due to risk and cost

Speaking to Yahoo Japan, Hudson\’s president effectively ruled out the company from making any full PS3 games due to the high development costs and associated risks with developing and publishing titles for the PS3. The company has already developed a few 360 games such as Fuzion Frenzy 2 and Bomerman Act: Zero.

Hidden flash player upgrade found in firmware v2.4

Reports indicate that a \’hidden\’ upgrade has been found in firmware v2.4. Now you can play Flash games in the PS3\’s web browser and now the Flash Player is at 7.0.25.

Rumor Control: Kratos won’t be appearing in Soul Calibur IV

In their latest podcast, 1UP has smashed rumors that Kratos will be present in Soul Calibur IV. Who knows what may happen later on with DLC etc, but its safe to say he will not be present as soon as the game hits the shelves.

PS3 behind Blu-ray success, 360 HD-DVD sold 316,000 units

A new report has surfaced which once again confirms that Blu-ray wouldn\’t have got very far in the next-gen format war if it was not for Blu-ray. The report also indicates that MS sold 316,000 HD-DVD drivers for the Xbox 360 before Sony\’s blu-ray format emerged victorious.

Police looking to track two PSP’s as part of double murder probe

UK tabloid The Sun is reporting that police are looking to track down two stolen PSPs as part of a double murder probe in London. Two students were brutally stabbed over 200 times combined and the police believe that recovery of the systems could help them with their investigations.

Independent game developers and hobbyists who are looking for an editing tool may also want to check it out since it should provide a good starting point for their own tools (and it’s free). This latest incarnation of the editor is unrelated source-wise from its predecessors; it is based on an in-house tool I developed a few years ago.”.
