Sorry Wii fans, no games from Epic for you, they want to push technology

Epic Games\’ Mark Rein has once again confirmed that the talented team has no plans to make something for the Wii, he remarked that its like asking a sculptor when he\’s going to start painting - i.e the Wii is just not Epic\’s medium. Rein went on to say that there area of expertise is high end consoles and things that push technology higher.

Play NES Mike Tyson’s Punch out on Wii, with GC bongo support

Now here\’s what true backwards compatibility is all about. Some clever homebrew developer has made it so that you can play Mike Tyson\’s Punch Out on the Wii complete with Gamecube bongos. The controls work really well, for example the top button on the bongo is a high punch, to dodge you simply clap and to block you hold the start button on the bongos. More at Glorioustrainwrecks.

Capcom secret Wii project based on a next gen favorite

The latest issue of Ngamer Magzine indicates that Capcom\’s next gen title is based off a next gen favorite. Here\’s the revealing quote - \”there\’s a bullet with our name on it if we speak of their ultra top secret Wii title (a surprising take on a next-gen favourite), so we\’ll stick to the safer, though still intruiging, Spyborgs.\”
